I am happy to announce that in January and February of 2019 , 21 Direct Support Professional and 11 Program Supervisors participated in a six week training program to build leadership skills. We focused on what leadership really means, coaching and conflict resolution, team building and more.
Our graduating class will be continuing their journey throughout the year as we follow up and help them to achieve their leadership goals and continue to provide more training and support to ensure that we have the most professional and well trained teams to support those we serve. If our feedback continues to be positive we hope to offer round 2 in 2020. The skills that Direct Support Professionals learn can help to create positive work environments and create people with skills ready to move up in the organization.
