PCL has an active and on-going Workplace Wellness Committee committed to ensuring a positive and supportive working environment.

The Wellness committee sets goals and plans activities around workplace mental and physical health and invites all employees and persons supported to participate.

We know being a Direct Support Professional is an extraordinary role, filled with rewarding moments but also challenges. Life can be complicated, and the balance between caring for others and maintaining your well-being isn’t always easy. That’s why it’s so important to take care of yourself—because when you’re at your best, you’re better equipped to support the people who count on you.

For 2025, we’re excited to unveil The Adventure Chronicles—an innovative approach to wellness. Every few months, we’ll introduce a new adventure packed with fun activities, exciting challenges, and practical resources designed to support your physical and mental health. Think of this as your personalized guide to navigating life’s ups and downs while staying energized and resilient. Remember, prioritizing your well-being isn’t just about you; it’s about creating the strength and positivity you need to uplift others. Together, let’s embark on a journey that transforms how we care for ourselves and those around us.

PCL Wellness Ambassadors

PCL Ambassadors are staff who work in PCL homes/programs and are committed to promoting a positive workplace that supports the mental/physical health and well-being of their teammates. Each home/program has a dedicated PCL Ambassador.

PCL Ambassadors play an important role in the deployment of PCL’s health and wellness initiatives. Ambassadors promote activities in their workplace, encourage participation and ensure that initiatives are brought up at team meetings.

Ambassadors meet monthly with the PCL Wellness Committee and share valuable feedback and suggestions for future wellness initiatives.
